Whenever the same work of art, symbol, or place keeps appearing in my life, I've learned to pay attention.
A place I can't stop thinking about.
An artwork that keeps resurfacing.
A symbol that seems to follow me.
I follow the frequency.
Because I've discovered that sometimes what pulls us toward a place is connected to something we're ready to discover in ourselves.
And you don't always know what it is until you get there.
In college, I wrote and won a travel grant to study the silk scroll buried with Lady Dai of the Han Dynasty. Standing before that ancient work, I experienced something like a conversation across time.
The Venus of Willendorf found me long before I found her. She appeared in books, surfaced in conversations, and arrived through a series of synchronicities until the invitation became impossible to ignore.
When I finally stood before her, something shifted. My understanding of creativity and the feminine opened into entirely new terrain.
I've learned to trust these encounters.
Witnessing Judy Chicago's Be No More clarified my next move in business.
Seeing Hilma af Klint's Behind the Flowers restored hope.
Standing before the Black Madonna in Switzerland expanded my capacity to love.
Again and again, art, travel, and place have changed what I notice, what I understand, and what I create.

Every meaningful journey has two stories.
The one about where you went.
And the one about who returns.
I call this Return Field Theory.
Each adventure changes what I notice, what I value, and ultimately what I create.
You come home carrying something you didn't leave with—
a new way of seeing,
a deeper relationship with beauty,
greater trust in your creativity,
and a renewed connection with outside your day to day.
The destination begins the journey.
The return reveals what it taught you.
Field Trips create the conditions for that return.
Travel changes the nervous system.
Art changes perception.
Place reshapes memory.
